When a relationship is out of alignment, the strain ripples through your entire life. It looks like a heavy knot of dread in your stomach before a difficult conversation, the hyper-vigilance of walking on eggshells around an emotionally unavailable or avoidant partner, and the quiet loneliness of feeling disconnected even when sitting right next to them. You might find yourself overanalyzing every interaction, slipping into old patterns of people-pleasing, or ignoring the quiet whisper of your own intuition just to keep the peace.
Whether you are looking to deepen an active connection, heal anxious attachment loops, or find the confidence and courage to consciously end a relationship that no longer serves your soul, you don’t have to navigate this confusion alone. We will work to clear the heavy, stuck emotional energy, reset your somatic boundaries, and ground you back into your own authentic power so you can make relationship choices from a place of absolute clarity, ease, and self-worth.
There are many reasons why you may want to end a relationship. Getting separated or divorced is rarely easy. There are many factors including financial, raising children in two households, feeling uncomfortable about leaving your children with your spouse, what family and friends might say, along with cultural stigmas. Fear of being alone is also common when exploring the idea of leaving. Together we will navigate all the issues and help you decide whether it’s right to stay or leave. And manage all the challenges one step at a time.
Discover your attachment styleWhen it comes to relationship dynamics, adult attachment theory is a critical tool to understand. What attachment style you have shed lots of light on why you may be feeling or experiencing certain dynamics that have eluded you. There are four primary adult attachment styles are: Secure, Avoidant, Anxious and Disorganized.
Knowing what you are and what your partner or past partners are, can be very enlightening. Each style has certain predictable behaviors and can also trigger the other if not in alignment.
Many of these thoughts are the voice of your inner critic… Together we will unravel limiting beliefs that may be holding you back from being in a loving relationship and find lasting love. If you need support, I specialize as a therapist for toxic relationships as well as relationships where you don’t feel seen or heard.
At the heart of every person is a desire to feel loved. Every person has a unique way of feeling loved. The five love languages describe the way in which we feel loved and appreciated. This is great information when you are in a relationship and want to improve it, but its also very handy while you are choosing a partner, or in anybody you are in relationship with including yourself 🙂
Depending on our individual personality types, you may feel loved differently than another person does. Understanding and decoding these different ways of showing love will help take the guesswork out of the picture.
We often communicate with judgments, evaluations, criticisms, demands or labels of right or wrong. Speaking and thinking in these ways often leads to conflict and blame, which in turn, can often evolve into sadness, anger, or even physical violence.
I teach my clients a system called Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also called Compassionate Communication, which was created by the American psychologist Marshall B. Rosenberg, who recognized that the way people use language often favors the escalation of violence. Taking responsibility for the way you feel and not relying on others to interpret, guess or imagine is the way to go…
Practicing this system will help eliminate negative emotions, resolve conflict with ease and lead to harmonious and peaceful connection.

People pleasing can lead to burnout, feeling drained, stressed out and resentful. When you are helping others all the time, you may be neglecting yourself.

What should I do if I am with a partner who doesn’t listen?
Feeling ignored or unseen by the person closest to you is deeply frustrating and lonely. When a partner doesn’t listen, communication often devolves into defensive cycles, constant criticism, or painful silence.
In therapy, we focus on identifying the negative communication loops you are caught in. We work on tools to help you express your needs clearly using “I” statements, while exploring behavioral changes that shift how you interact. The goal is to help you break free from the patterns where you get “stuck” so you can rebuild genuine intimacy, trust, and connection.
How do I handle setting boundaries with toxic family members without feeling guilty?
Setting boundaries with family is uniquely challenging because of ingrained guilt, conditioned childhood roles, and societal expectations. It is completely normal to feel a mixture of anxiety, sadness, or doubt when you first start prioritizing your peace.
To set an effective boundary, remember to keep your rules short, specific, and focused on your actions, not trying to change theirs. For example: “I won’t discuss our finances. If the topic comes up, I’m going to end the call.” Expecting pushback is part of the process. Working with a therapist provides a safe space to process the underlying guilt and build the self-trust required to maintain your stance calmly.
